Courtney Hammond is a casting director, teacher, producer, coach and "New Yorker" of 18 years. Recently relocated to New Brunswick, Canada, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and as an Equity actress has worked regionally, toured internationally, sang on cruise ships and even co-hosted a live game show on Nickelodeon.
Courtney began her casting career with Eisenberg/Beans Casting in NYC. While at E/B Casting, she had the pleasure of working on projects for Folger Theatre, Dallas Theatre Center, Broadway in Chicago, Bedlam Theatre Company, Ivoryton Playhouse, Norwegian Cruise Line, various SAG indie features.
In 2018 Courtney made her Broadway casting debut with Gettin’ The Band Back Together.
Most recently a casting director at Wojcik/Seay Casting, she worked on the Jesus Christ Superstar 50th Anniversary Tour, Rent 20th Anniversary Tour, Kinky Boots for Norwegian Cruise Lines, various developmental works and seasons for many regional theaters.
She is the Executive Director of Broadway By The Sea, an annual summer theatre festival in St. Andrews, New Brunswick and works with various production companies as an independent Casting Director.
Courtney is a passionate coach and teacher. She is regularly invited to teach throughout New York City and around the country at colleges and universities. She believes that actors give their best work when they are prepared and supported and strives to create a warm, engaged and safe space for everyone to do their best work.
